Already a thread on this, but I think this is a actually a great move for him. Toronto's style fits his play better than Portland's. And while it would
have been intriguing to see how he would have fit in Portland, I suspect someone like Marion might be better for that team anyway.
Bosh, Turkoglu and Calderon aren't a bad trio to build a playoff team around. |

They will have to renounce rights to Marion, Delfino and Parker if its a straight up signing.
Which means Marion can't be signed and traded for that Stack chip. He'll have to settle for a MLE somewhere |

Two new issues arise from this.
1. Marion is the fish getting thrown back in the pool as a result. No SNT with Marion is possible assuming Turkoglu signs first, and Turkoglu is a lousy SNT guy because he'll be base year from this deal. So, is Marion doomed to be an MLE -or-less guy for someone? 2. Where will Portland offer their money now? |

Parker would be great here.
All those people who complain OR defend the MBT will make or break their arguments based on what we do with Stack.

Delfino's name was brought up as a hinderance to the Raptors signing Turkoglu as they've already exercised their option on him. Do they have to wait for someone else to make an offer to let him go or would they have to trade him? If so, couldn't a team like the Mavs try to get a package involving Marion for Stack in order to take Delfino off their hands? |

Are you sure they exercised an option on Delfino? Or did they merely make a QO? (I havent done any homework on him, and I'm running from the computer until tomorrow. But those are very different and what you need to figure out.) I'm guessing it was a QO, and they can just resciond it if he hasn't accepted it already. Marion for Stack won't work once he's renounced, they can't do the "sign" part of the sign-and-trade needed for that deal. |

hahaha, toronto does suck. however its a multinational city with a lot of different flavors. pretty soon only european players are going to play in toronto.
americans dont like playing in canada cause theres no espn.
plus nightlife ends at like 1200 am there.... |
