Eddy Curry intrigues me, as he seems to be the textbook definition of a "guy needing a change of scenery". It's of course common knowledge
that NY needs to move him to better their 2010 off-season. I would be very interested in a Dampier for Curry deal if, of course, Dallas came out ahead for
taking on that contract.
Does NY have something else to interest the Mavs? Not really. The Mavs don't need an undersized PG like Nate Robinson. Lee is not the "above the
rim" complement to Gortat/Curry, and Chandler is just not what I'm lookin' for.
Chicago has been butting heads with Tyrus Thomas. Perhaps they'd be interested in swapping out PFs?
Dallas receives:
Eddy Curry & Tyrus Thomas
Chicago receives:
David Lee (S/T at $7 mil per)
New York receives:
Dampier, Shawne Williams, Devean George and Anthony Roberson (all expiring contracts)
For the Mavs, Ty Thomas would be the ideal 6th/7th man to provide athleticism, run the court and block shots.
