Some similiarities other than the shaved head and facial hair-

Geiger's 95-96 stats seem to be what the expectations of Gortat are

Gortat is a better rebounder and shotblocker, I think.

Not sure any coach thinks he's a 3 unless for short periods of time. Usually Bass plays 4 or sometimes 5. He's kind of an odd player bc he plays big and is super athletic tho I think he would have a tough time keeping up with a lot of the league's 3s on defense.

2nd round pick-backed up a nice post- Alonzo Mourning....

I think Geiger was a pretty good rebounder..If Gortat brought a Geiger-like toughness to the team, pretty reasonable for the MLE

In what little I've seen, Gortat does look a little more athletic than Geiger.....
