if this were true thats where I would put ALL my trade chips. Stack,Damp, George,Terry, whatever it took. Put Hedo at the 3, Josh the 2 and lets go get that
ring!!!

I agree, get Turkoglu at all costs, a golden opportunity for Mavs.
Also some journalists have some answering to do, everybody made it like this was a done deal. (ESPN, CBS Sports, SI)

I read his wife wants him in Toronto. Hedo may be a point forward, but she handles the balls in the relationship.
By the time you finish this sentence you'll realize you've wasted a few seconds... |

i think turkoglue is great at all, but the drool in this thread is a little over the top---I really don't think josh can play the two, first of all, and
second of all, seriously? hedo turkoglue at all costs? this is the opposite of camp giddy we love our team----its camp pissy "role players on other teams
would turn into stars on ours!!!"---trade JET & JOSH for HEDO!!! HE'LL AVERAGE A TRIPLE 20!!! JOSH & JET SUCK!!!

I'm not saying he's a bad player, but he doesn't solve the mavs problems---we need 2 guards who can score AND defend---and we need low post
offense----gortat hopeflly helps with the latter, but hedo is a below average defender---and DEFINITELY , cannot guard twos----he can score just fine---but we
already have a dude who can play the two, score, and not defend twos-----so who plays the two if hedo starts and josh is the sixth man? we'd have to spend
assets/give up talent to get turkoglue, because we can't sign him---I just don't see why this makes any sense---I'd rather do terry for jrich, and
I think THATS a stupid trade too

We could move Howard to the 2 spot and bench Wright, but then there'd be no offense from the bench. I like Hedo because he can handle the ball, shoot the
three, take in inside and play decent defense. I think the Mavs would be better off with him as long as the don't give up Howard, Dirk or Kidd.

how about we let kidd go, sign turkeyglue and just let him run the offense for us like he did for the magic in the playoffs? put jason terry at pg to shoot
spot up threes and there you go. terry, j-hoe, turkeylube, nowitzki, polish hammer. and it isnt it a bad sign that the only other team interested in him is the
new york knicks? why are not we not pursuing a good underrated pg like andre miller who commands about the same money but is a better pg? im so sick of all
this kidd love from the FO and local and national media. yes he was great at one time, now hes at best coming off the bench for a younger more athletic pg.

Maybe Hedo going to Toronto makes it more likely the Mavs will land Marion.

floemav wrote:Omigosh - if the Mavs traded Terry, a grossly overpaid tweener and 6th man in the true sense, for JRich, a legit starter - as opposed to giving up Howard or the Stack chip to get JRich - I would wash Donnie's truck for him twice a week and take out a full-page ad in the NYT proclaiming him the NBA's best GM. Edit: plus, assuming the return of Kidd and retaining Gortat, we would have our starting lineup, allowing us to trade the Stack chip for a very, very good bench player or two, or use it to upgrade the three and use Howard to get a couple of good bench guys. Q: What's even lower than Josh Howard's basketball IQ?

I sympathise with Hedo..I like him have a wife who decides where we live..and lots of other little things..I decide the big things..but in 35 years of marriage
there hasn't been one yet..

I think it probably has as much to do with the fact that Toronto is offering him more money...
