I know this guy is average at best on defense but everyting else about him would fit in great with what we are looking for at the 2.. Athletic, reasonably young at 28, and can still score at a high percent (including at 3pt).... I dom't think he fit in to Phoenix's offense well last year. I wonder if he would be available for the right price? Looks like he has this year and next year at about 27.5 mill total Anyone think they might be willing to unload him? I haven't heard anything on what their plans are with him.

Then use the BAE on Quisy. Talk Bass into staying (spending more of Cuban's money). Then trade Damp for Chandler (works on RealGM) to save NO some big bucks. Kidd-JJB-Booboo Richardson-Terry Marion-Quisy-Wright Dirk-Bass-Nivins Gortat-Chandler-Hollins The success of that team really depends, IMHO, on how good Booboo turns out to be, and if Gortat can provide a genuine offensive threat so that the Mavs aren't playing 3-on-5 on offense. Edit: Actually, I like this offseason so much I'm going to c-n-p it as its own thread. Q: What's even lower than Josh Howard's basketball IQ? A: The basketball IQ of the de facto GM moranic enough to believe he's not only minimally useful, but even untouchable.

Of course, but I think they'll only do JRich for Howard if they are assured they can get a decent SF to replace Howard. But I don't think he should be the first target, I wish there was some way we could get Caron Butler and keep Josh. Now that'll do wonders for our fourth quarter production, we'll be keeping defenses honest

That's probably a pretty big "if" tho so yeah it is pretty risky

He is the two guard the Mavs are looking for... Howard is capable of playing good defense and can score. Richardson can score but not defend. I loved that Suns/Spurs game on Christmas Day(i think) where Richardson left Mason wide open to hit the game winning three.
