Both of our first two major offseason situations are in limbo right now and could very well fall apart. Which would damage the Mavs more - if Kidd walked,
or if the Magic matched on Gortat? Some folks hate Kidd and Gortat. That's fine - in that case, which is the lesser of two evils?
I would personally say Kidd's walking would be worse, because Gortat being matched leaves a far more salvageable offseason. Some of the nice targets might
be off the board then, but at least we wouldn't have three starters to replace as opposed to two. I'll say it again - if Kidd walks without an SnT, the
Dirk era is officially over (but the Mavs will asininely keep Dirk to keep the cash rolling in).
